Bike Measurements

It’s important to have information about the previous bikes that you have owned.  Even if I’m building you a bike to correct fit issues, I still need the information from bikes prior.  The measurements that I need are fit related.  If you have any other information about your bike’s geometry I would love to have it for my records as well.

The fit measurements I need from you are:

Handlebar to floor – Measure from the center of the handlebar to the ground.

Saddle to floor – Measure from the top of the saddle to the ground (measure at the middle point of the overall saddle length)

Saddle setback – Tip of the saddle to the center of the bottom bracket spindle.  (Using a plumb-bob is the easiest way to measure this)

Saddle height – Center of bottom bracket spindle to the top of the saddle (measure at the middle point of the overall saddle length)

Saddle to handlebar – Measure from the tip of the seat to the center of the handlebar.
