Columbus Spirit Frameset

This frame is built using the rarely seen Columbus Spirit.  It’s the version that I refer to as Spirit for TIG.  The tubeset is beautifully shaped with multi faceted ovalization.  The shaping is hard to describe, but it’s a very unique and special tubeset.  The ride is smooth due to the thin tube walls, but the large diameters keep the frame responsive.

The geometry is my version of classic stage race road numbers.  The bb is kept very low for great corning grip and confidence.  The chainstay length is matched to the front center length for proper weight distribution.  The headtube is a bit taller for less spacer stack under the stem.
