Lucy’s 27.5″ Mountain Bike:

Lucy wanted to accomplish a few things with her new bike. She had some fit issues from her previous bike, she wanted to upgrade her components, and she wanted 27.5″ wheels. Lucy was looking to improve her descending skills, so I bumped up her fork from 80mm on her previous bike to 100mm. I also installed a dropper seatpost, since I wanted her to try lowering the seat on tough downhills. The frame came in at 3lbs on the dot. I laced a set of Chris King ISO hubs in navy using DT Aerolites to Enve XC rims. Navy headset and bottom bracket spread some more color throughout the bike. Full Shimano XTR, Thomson titanium handlebar and X4 stem, Schwalbe tires, and a bronze headbadge complete the build.

    Hi,
Awesome bike! what is a ballpark cost for a near identical bike, but in a 29″ version? I’m dreaming of such a build for next spring.

    Cheers,
    Bill
